Education Manager (Permanent)

        Under the supervision of the Director for Education, your mission will consist of managing and leading the department to achieve its desired outcomes through the conceptualisation, development and implementation of the department’s work plan.  You will be in charge of a competent team and is expected to collaborate with both internal and external parties. 

Main responsibilities include:     

•     Assist the HOD in managing and leading the department to achieve its desired outcomes;       

•     Conceptualize, develop, and ensure the smooth implementation of educational programmes;   

•     Collaborate with service providers to develop and conduct relevant educational programmes; 

•     Conduct periodic reviews of programmes and make necessary recommendations for improvement;      

•     Maintain awareness and knowledge in areas of research and community issues relating to development in early-learning  and parental involvement;

•     Establish and enhance partnerships with the organisations from the Malay-Muslim Voluntary sector, grassroots organisations, and related government agencies. 

Requirements:   

• A good Degree from a recognized institution;   

• Minimum 5 years’ working experience in managerial/supervisory position(s);   

• Excellent communication and influencing skills both in English and Malay.

Organisational Planning & Development Executive (Permanent)

The OPD Executive is responsible in implementing the organisation’s Knowledge Management Strategy and to work with OPDM to champion the organization-wide knowledge sharing; leveraging and maximising the organization's know-how, information and experience within the organisation.

Main responsibilities include:

Develop and implement YM’s Knowledge Management Framework;

Facilitate the integration of information, knowledge, systems and processes within YM for a systematic and sustainable knowledge sharing through the use of KM tools and technologies;

Manage MENDAKI’s official electronic and manual records management and document repository systems;

Promote knowledge sharing through Knowledge Sharing Seminars/Workshops for efficient Knowledge Sharing/Transfer;

Support the Organisation Planning & Development Manager in administering the corporate workplan process and preparation of Committee of Supply reports;

Development of YM’s Resource Persons Database/SMEs Database;

Management of organization Intellectual Property Matters.

Requirements:

A good Degree from a recognized institution, preferably in Business Administration, Organisational Development, Knowledge Management, Information Systems, or similar;

Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel;

Experience with data analysis and/or knowledge management an advantage;

Excellent communication and influencing skills both in English and Malay.

Corporate Logistics Management Executive Assistant (Permanent)

The CLM Executive Assistant is responsible in providing general collateral and events logistics support and managing the basic routine tasks within the organisation to assist the various departments.

Main responsibilities include:

• Source for suitable venues and do on-site recce based the requirements provided by event owners;

• Liaise and engage with different departments to ensure the timely, coordinated running events;

• Manage and coordinate suppliers and all event logistics;

• Researching and collating local information, e.g. park facilities, event venues etc.

• Oversee the dismantling and removal of the event and clear the venue efficiently;

• Make sure that insurance, legal, health and safety obligations are followed;

• Assist in the general post-event evaluation to be prepared for future events;

• Any other duties as directed and assigned by the Reporting Officer.

Requirements:

A good Diploma from a recognized institution;

Possesses a Class 3/3A driving license;

Strong interpersonal and communication skills both in English and Malay;

Experience in events planning, especially in logistical arrangements.

Events Manager (1 Year Contract)

The Education Trust Fund (ETF) is one of the many initiatives that MENDAKI has put in place to support the educational journey of our community. Since its introduction, the ETF had depended solely on contributions from the generous public. For the next two years commencing 2017, a fund raising drive will take place to ensure sufficient funds are available to meet the needs of the recipients. 

The Events Manager will work closely with the ETF Fund Raising Secretariat and the Corporate Communications Department to oversee and manage fund raising events and activities identified for the period 2017 - 2018 and ensuring smooth implementation from planning to completion. You will also be required to conduct post-event evaluation upon completion of each event.

Main responsibilities include: 

Development, production and delivery of fund raising and/or fund raising related projects/events from proposal right up to delivery;

Delivering events on time, within budget, that meet expectations;

Setting, communicating and maintaining timelines and priorities on every project;

Communicating, maintaining and developing client relationships both internal and external

Managing supplier relationships;

Managing operational and administrative functions to ensure specific projects/events are delivered efficiently;

Being responsible for all project budgets from start to finish.

Requirements:

A good Degree from a recognized institution;

A proven track record of project management, with fund raising experience an added advantage;

Possesses good and trusted network of event suppliers, or a demonstrated track record of the ability to develop such networks quickly and effectively;

Excellent communication and influencing skills both in English and Malay;

Strong diplomacy and a good sense of humour are a definite advantage.

InfoComm Technology Executive (2 Year Contract)

The ICT Executive supports the information technology strategies of Yayasan MENDAKI by managing the related tasks in the ICT scope including procurement, involvement in projects, and events support.

Main responsibilities include:

Deliver and setup the ICT devices/resources at designated events or satellite centers;
Assist and supervise ICT vendors when carrying deployment or development tasks in HQ;
Liaising extensively with external or internal clients;
Working closely with colleagues, developers, testers and a variety of end users to ensure technical compatibility and user satisfaction;
Provide training and user manuals to users of a new system;
Handle entire project cycles and manage clients;
Any other duties as directed and assigned by the Reporting Officer.

Requirements:

Good degree from a recognized institution in any related subject;
Familiar with networking, telephony, connectivity, and incident & asset management;
Familiar with Business As Usual (BAU) for internal systems, such as desktops to servers, and printers to PDA.

Executive Assistant – Community Outreach (2 Year Contract)

You will be required to:

Establish and maintain good working relationships with community partners to help identify community needs and reach out to families with school-going children;

Assist the Centre Coordinator in conceptualizing and managing outreach activities and community projects, ensuring that they are geared to the specific needs of the local community;

Administer Information and Referral services for families received through outreach efforts;

Provide and ensure interim and final replies to referrals made by Social Service Agencies (SSOs, FSCs, VWOs, etc) are sent out expeditiously;

Assist the Centre Coordinator to identify, analyze, and interpret trends and patterns in data collected.

Requirements: 

A good Diploma from a recognized institution;

Knowledge of Microsoft Office;

Good administrative, communication and interpersonal skills;

Committed, energetic, self-motivated;

A strong passion for outreach work.

Organisational Planning & Development Executive (6-Month Contract)

Main responsibilities include:

Assist the Organisational Planning & Development (OPD) unit to manage and prepare accurate, timely and relevant data, information and reports to support business decisions;

Support the OPD unit to evaluate corporate performance and recommend appropriate remedial actions to ensure organizational performance standards and service quality are maintained;

Assist with MENDAKI’s productivity initiatives;

Assist to manage MENDAKI’s official electronic and manual records management and document repository systems.

Requirements:

A good Degree from a recognized institution, preferably in Business Administration, Organisational Development, Information Systems, or similar;

Proficient in Microsoft Excel;

Experience with data analysis an advantage;

Excellent communication skills both in English and Malay.

Corporate Logistics Management Executive Assistant (1-Year Contract)

Main responsibilities include:

•     Assist in event planning and execution such as venue sourcing, liaising with other departments and vendors, transportation’s needs, among others;·         

•     Organize documents, files both manually and electronically through digitization, scanning;·         

•     Assist in asset management. Help in tagging all Fixed Asset items, equipment;·         

•     Create and maintain contact with vendors and customers to ensure timely delivery of goods and services;

    Provide day-to-day support to Wisma MENDAKI activities such as Meeting Rooms, Hall preparations for events; 

•     Assist the Director, Manager and Executives in the relevant planning, conduct and review of the unit, departmental and organizational matters; including providing the collateral-event, building-facility, administrative-office and despatch-post support for the routine tasks, assignments, projects and any other duties and responsibilities undertaken and required by the supervisor/s and / or organization;  

•      Any other duties as directed and assigned by the reporting officer.

Requirements:

        ·            A good Diploma from a recognized institution;

        ·         Strong interpersonal and communication skills both in English and Malay.

Community Outreach Executive Assistant – MENDAKI @ Heartlands (6-Month Contract)

Based in the central part of Singapore, the officer will assist the Centre Coordinator in the development and implementation of community outreach and engagement strategies unique to the centre. This will also include overseeing the day to day operations of the centre.

He/She will work closely with the Centre Coordinator to increase participation in programmes and services provided at the centre, identify community interests, needs and issues, and plan and deliver a wide range of activities in response to those diverse needs.

Main responsibilities include:

Establish and maintain good working relationships with Grassroots volunteers and community partners to help identify community needs and reach out to families with school going children, minimize duplication and promote partnership working.

Assist the Centre Coordinator in managing and promoting outreach activities, ensuring that they are geared to the specific needs of the local community.

Develop in collaboration with local communities a lively, challenging and wide array of learning opportunities including workshops, events and support materials for both parents and their school going children.

Contribute in establishing and maintaining systems for monitoring and evaluating services through the collection and analysis of public and other feedback.

Any other duties assigned by the Centre Coordinator

Requirements:

A good Diploma from a recognized institution;

Basic knowledge with Microsoft Office applications;

Passion for outreach, with a prior experience in the social services sector an advantage;

Pleasant and friendly disposition, with strong interpersonal and communication skills both in English and Malay.
