Research & Planning Executive

You are to conduct, facilitate, implement and review the total organization strategic planning, work reviews and programme evaluation exercises. You are also expected to be data driven in facilitating organizational reviews and processes.

Main responsibilities include:

  • Facilitate, implement and review organisation’s strategic planning exercises. 
  • Facilitate, implement and review organisation’s work deliverables.
  • Conduct and review programmes evaluation and guidelines. 
  • Engage key stakeholders (internal and external) to facilitate implementation of strategic planning and work reviews deliverables. 
  • Conduct environmental scanning on international and local policy practices relating to strategic planning, organisational development and programme evaluation improvement
  • Prepare policy papers and supplementary materials for endorsement of policies formulated and/or department’s publications. 
  • Locate and define new process improvement opportunities using data analytics where necessary. 

Required Qualifications

Degree in Human/ Social/ Political Sciences, Sociology, Knowledge Management or any related subject from a recognized institution;

At least two to three years' relevant professional experience in the following areas will be an added advantage:
Strategic Planning and Development
Programme Evaluation and Processes
Data Analysis 
Research Methods 
Public communications
Good understanding of the following: 
Malay/Muslim trends and issues 
Relevant industry background, trends and change management 
Policy environment

Required Skills and Competencies

  • Proven working experience in Strategic Planning and Policy Unit
  • Knowledge of statistics and experience in using statistical packages for analysing large datasets (Excel, Qlickview, etc)
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organise, analyse, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong passion to work in the Social Service Sector.

Organisational Development Executive Assistant (6-month contract)

Main responsibilities include:

To provide support to the Community Leaders Forum (CLF) Secretariat in the development and completion of CLF reports, etc.
Respond to feedback and queries on CLF matters
To provide evaluation reports and ensure proper planning and implementation of CLF events and activities
Assist to provide analysis and evaluation of project funding applications
Provide secretariat and administrative support to the PMET (Professionals, Managers, Executives and Technicians) outreach committee


A Diploma from a recognized institution, preferably in Business Administration, Organisational Development, or similar;
Proficient in Microsoft Excel;
Experience with data analysis an advantage;
Excellent communication skills both in English and Malay.

Events Manager (1 Year Contract)

The Education Trust Fund (ETF) is one of the many initiatives that MENDAKI has put in place to support the educational journey of our community. Since its introduction, the ETF had depended solely on contributions from the generous public. For the next two years commencing 2017, a fund raising drive will take place to ensure sufficient funds are available to meet the needs of the recipients. 

The Events Manager will work closely with the ETF Fund Raising Secretariat and the Corporate Communications Department to oversee and manage fund raising events and activities identified for the period 2017 - 2018 and ensuring smooth implementation from planning to completion. You will also be required to conduct post-event evaluation upon completion of each event.

Main responsibilities include: 

Development, production and delivery of fund raising and/or fund raising related projects/events from proposal right up to delivery;

Delivering events on time, within budget, that meet expectations;

Setting, communicating and maintaining timelines and priorities on every project;

Communicating, maintaining and developing client relationships both internal and external

Managing supplier relationships;

Managing operational and administrative functions to ensure specific projects/events are delivered efficiently;

Being responsible for all project budgets from start to finish.


A good Degree from a recognized institution;

A proven track record of project management, with fund raising experience an added advantage;

Possesses good and trusted network of event suppliers, or a demonstrated track record of the ability to develop such networks quickly and effectively;

Excellent communication and influencing skills both in English and Malay;

Strong diplomacy and a good sense of humour are a definite advantage.

InfoComm Technology Executive (2 Year Contract)

The ICT Executive supports the information technology strategies of Yayasan MENDAKI by managing the related tasks in the ICT scope including procurement, involvement in projects, and events support.

Main responsibilities include:

Deliver and setup the ICT devices/resources at designated events or satellite centers;
Assist and supervise ICT vendors when carrying deployment or development tasks in HQ;
Liaising extensively with external or internal clients;
Working closely with colleagues, developers, testers and a variety of end users to ensure technical compatibility and user satisfaction;
Provide training and user manuals to users of a new system;
Handle entire project cycles and manage clients;
Any other duties as directed and assigned by the Reporting Officer.


Good degree from a recognized institution in any related subject;
Familiar with networking, telephony, connectivity, and incident & asset management;
Familiar with Business As Usual (BAU) for internal systems, such as desktops to servers, and printers to PDA.

Community Learning & Empowerment Executive Assistant (YouthSpace@ITE College West) – 2 Year Contract

You will be required to:
• Assist in the implementation and monitoring of programmes for students and youths aged 17 and beyond;
• Outreach to tertiary students to encourage participation in activities 
• Planning, executing and evaluating of activities to engage students through mentoring and other Future-Ready initiatives 
• Assist to build/ network strong partnerships with and identify platforms/opportunities for engagement of partners;
• Provide administrative support which includes maintaining and updating of data records, adherence to financial procedures, and drafting of correspondence.

• Preferably a good polytechnic Diploma or equivalent;
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office;
• Good administrative, communications and interpersonal skills;
• 1-2 years’ experience in relevant fields;
• A strong passion to work in the Social Service Sector.
