MENDAKI Scholarship (University)

Introduction

• The scholarship was introduced in 1995.  It aims to reward top students who had performed exceptionally well at both GCE ‘A’ level examinations and Polytechnics.

Course

• Preferred courses include Health & Life Sciences, Medicine, Multimedia Design, and Engineering.

Eligibility Criteria

• Muslims who are Singapore Citizens
• Applicants must be in the first year of study and enrolled in any of the following institutions: 
  • National University of Singapore
  • Nanyang Technological  University / NIE
  • Singapore Management University
  • Singapore Institute of Technology
  • Singapore University of Technology and Design
• Obtained 5 distinctions (including English) in the GCE ‘O’ level examination
• Obtained 3 distinctions (including General Paper) in the GCE ‘A’ level examination OR a Polytechnic Diploma with a Certificate of Merit
• Male applicants must have completed their National Service
• Active participation in co-curricular activities is an advantage

Value

• One scholarship worth $4,000 per annum is available each year to first year student
• The scholarship is disbursed yearly for the duration of the course of study subject to satisfactory performance of the scholar
• No bond is required but the scholar will be requested to complete 90 days of community work with MENDAKI

Application Procedure

• Applications open on Monday 28 May 2012 to Friday 29 June 2012
• Application forms may be obtained at the reception counter of Yayasan MENDAKI, 51 Kee Sun Avenue, Off Tay Lian Teck Road Singapore 457056 or click here to download form
• Completed application forms with necessary supporting documents must be submitted to Yayasan MENDAKI. Incomplete application forms will not be processed.
