PROGRESSING AS A COMMUN ITY JOURNEYING THROUGH OUR HERITAGE, IN CELEBRATION OF KNOWLEDGE Raikan Ilmu began as a campaign in 2016. It sought to rally the community to embrace learning as a way of life and has gradually garnered momentum over the years. As a community, we recognise the collective responsibility of planting seeds of knowledge to push for progress and reach for higher aspirations. In the hopes of amplifying this celebration of knowledge into a community movement, MENDAKI expanded the campaign into an annual month-long campaign in October. Knowledge of all forms were celebrated, regardless of who it is for - young or old - and what it is - academic syllabuses, or skills and mastery. Together with various community partners, national agencies, informal groups and enthusiastic individuals, MENDAKI assembled a plethora of programmes and activities that took place throughout the whole month of October, across the whole island.
