The programme is aimed at providing both parents and their children access to developmental programmes and educational resources. Membership is free and is open to parents and their children below 12 years.
Core Programme for Children
The core programme consists of structured activities that focus on the children’s potential in genres such as, Mathematics and Sciences, Arts, Languages, or Others (Thinking Skills, Sports etc). The main aim of these activities is to build the child’s self- confidence and potentially develop an interest in the particular topic or subject.
Core Programme for Parents
The core programme consists of a series of workshops that are designed to provide parents with greater understanding of the various academic and non-academic needs of their children. Conducted in small groups, these workshops in various education-related topics are held on a quarterly basis.
Activities such as learning journeys, camps, visits to places of interest form part of the complementary programme. The activities are open for both parents and child.
This outreach initiative brings a sampling of the Cahaya M activities and programmes to the community at the heartlands. Families with children aged 0 – 12 years old will be exposed to experiential learning to inculcate learning within the family unit.
