Anugerah Belia Cemerlang MENDAKI (MENDAKI Youth Promise Awards)

Objectives
- To provide inspiration to the community by identifying and recognising Malay/Muslim youths who can be role models in the community.
- To help Malay/Muslim youths with potential in diverse fields beyond traditional academic areas to further develop themselves and realise their potential.
- To support adult learners to complete their post-secondary education and acquisition of new skills.
Eligibility Criteria (Overseas & Local)
- Nominees must be Malay/Muslim Singapore citizens between 18 and 35 years of age.
- Nominees must be enrolled in a course of study beyond traditional academic areas, such as in the domains of culinary, sports, music, design and creative industries; performing and visual arts
- The Award will also consider nominations of students who display multi-disciplinarity in their fields of study, combining the abovementioned fields with ICT, an emerging field
- Nominees must be persons with high integrity and moral character
- Nominees must be accepted full-time into institutions either locally or overseas to pursue the approved course of study, apprenticeship and skills or talents development opportunities in the field of interest
Eligibility Criteria (Study Awards)
- Nominees must be Malay/Muslim Singapore citizens between 20 and 35 years of age.
- Nominees must be enrolled in a course of study leading to formal qualification i.e. NITEC, Diploma, National Examinations (GCE O,GCE N) and above.
- Nominees must be persons with good character
- Nominees must be referred by national/community agencies
- Nominees must be accepted into local institutions
Value of Awards
- One Overseas Scholarship award worth up to $50,000
- Three Local Scholarship awards worth up to $10,000 each
- Four Study Awards worth up to $5,000 each

- Candidature for the award is by nomination only.
- All nominations must include testimonials of past achievements and supporting documents.
- Third party recommendations to vouch for applicant’s character and integrity must also be provided.
Special Achievement Award for Excellence (Non-Academic)

Objectives
- To recognise the students who has attained commendable achievements in the non-academic field.
- To inspire Malay/Muslim youths to achieve excellence in diversified areas and be role models in the community
Eligibility Criteria
- Be Malay/Muslim Singapore citizens aged 14 to 25.
- Have attained an award at the National, Regional or International platforms in a non-academic field (please refer to Annex A)
- Have attained the award in the period between Jan 2018 and June 2019
- Have attained the award in an individual category
- Be full-time students and have passed a recent academic examination
- Past recipients may reapply should they display progress from their previous achievement.

MENDAKI-Merchant Scholarship

Objective
The preferred courses for the scholarship include Bioengineering, Health & Life Sciences, Nursing, Multimedia and Animation, Digital Media Design and Engineering.
Eligibility Criteria
- Student must be a Muslim Singaporean (regardless of race)
- Student must obtain at least 2 distinctions and a minimum of a B3 grade in 4 other subjects in their GCE 'O' level examination or equivalent.
- Student from low-income family will be given priority.
- Scholar must maintain a good academic performance for the whole duration of their study at the polytechnic.
Value of Award
- One scholarship is available each year to first year polytechnic student.
- Each scholarship covers 100% of the tuition fee and/or $1,000/- as living allowance per annum.
- Duration of the scholarship is up to a minimum period of study leading to a diploma or maximum of 3 years whichever is lower.
- The scholarship is disbursed yearly for the whole duration of the course of study subject to satisfactory performance of the scholar.
- The scholar must submit a copy of his/her examination results yearly to Yayasan MENDAKI.
