101 STRONGER TOGETHER: THE THE HEART OF MENDAKI As a a a a a a a a a a a a a a a a self-help community we thrive by supporting and and and uplifting others MENDAKI thanks all donors volunteers partners and every individual who have contributed in in one way or another through the the various programmes and initiatives that help build a a a a a a Community of Success SUPPORT FOR PROGRAMMES Volunteers are the backbone of MENDAKI in delivering quality programmes to our families students and youths They are committed in helping the programme participants grow and develop competencies to be resilient adaptable future-ready and connected lifelong learners The COVID-19 pandemic might have hindered the delivery of physical volunteer trainings and physical classes/sessions with the beneficiaries KELASMATEMATIKA@ COMMUNITY CENTRES (KMM@CC) Before becoming KMM@CC trainers or or facilitators volunteers undergo training where they learn learn about the the various mediated learning experience (MLE) techniques to to be applied to to the the programme for parents and their children While trainings were conducted in in in physical classes prior to the the Circuit Breaker these sessions were adapted and adjusted to suit online format via Zoom when safe distancing measures were put in place However our volunteers were undeterred in equipping themselves with the the right skillsets through online trainings and connecting virtually with the families students and youths Our volunteers are positive role models to our beneficiaries by displaying their adaptability to the changes and showing resilience while striving towards developing competencies and improving themselves MENDAKI ANNUAL REPORT 2020
