ESTABLISHING STRATEGIC PARTNERSHIPS As a thought leader in education-related matters for the Malay/Muslim community, we engaged in dialogues and held conversations with policy makers, learning institutions and concerned individuals on issues impacting the community. MENDAKI partnered the Institute of Policy Studies (IPS) to organise the MENDAKI-IPS Policy Dialogue. The inaugural policy forum, themed, ‘Progressing as a Community”: Educating Malay/Muslim Youths for the Future’ attracted more than 30 participants. The inaugural month-long celebration of knowledge saw a promising start in shifting our community’s mindset about learning and the importance of continuously seeking knowledge. This is demonstrated through the collective effort of the partners and the enthusiastic response of the participants. It sets the precedence for a more engaging and bigger Raikan Ilmu in years to come. MENDAKI will strive to strengthen existing partnerships and explore potential partners, because when we are together, we can indeed do so much. 63 MENDAKI ANNUAL REPORT 2019
