MENDAKI-Muis Preschool Grant (MMPG)

The MENDAKI-MUIS Preschool Grant (MMPG) is targeted to low-income families with children below 6 years old who are enrolled in preschool. It aims to lower the cost barriers for entry to preschool, and assist mothers to return to and remain in formal employment. Beyond that, MMPG encourages parents to cultivate a habit of saving for their children’s education.

Through a dollar-a-day saving in the Child Development Co-Savings Account (CDA), MMPG will co-match this saving, which will be capped at $30 per month. These will be further co-matched by government, and parents can maximise the CDA benefits to pay for their child preschool fees, medical and developmental needs.

Eligibility Criteria

Families with children aged between 0 to 6 years old successfully enrolled in preschool, with a monthly gross per capita income of $650 and below

Terms and Conditions

1. Under this scheme, monthly savings made by parents into their child’s Child Development Account (CDA) will be co-matched by MENDAKI. In addition, the saved amount may also qualify for further co-matching by the government, allowing parents to maximise the CDA benefits available for preschool fees and other approved learning and development expenses.
2. Families are encouraged to save a minimum of one dollar ($1) per day, which equals thirty dollars ($30) per month. The co-matching will be capped at thirty dollars ($30) per month, equivalent to a maximum of three hundred and sixty dollars ($360) per year.
3. Upon approval of the application, parents are required to submit proof of their monthly savings in the form of screenshots showing deposits made to their child’s CDA. These screenshots must be uploaded through the online portal under the ""My Disbursement"" tab by the stated submission deadline each month.
4. MENDAKI will issue up to three (3) reminder emails each month to parents who have not yet submitted their proof of CDA savings.

Disbursements under this scheme will be made on a monthly basis, following verification of the submitted proof of savings.

Mandatory Documents Required

1. Bank Account of CDA Top-Up
2. Copy of Child’s latest CDA Statement / Latest deposit in child’s CDA account
3. Receipt of Child's Preschool Fees
4. Declaration of Unemployed Mother e.g. Retrenchment letter or unfit to work proof (if applicable)

Application Procedure

1. All applications must be submitted online.
2. Processing will take up to 4 weeks from the date of complete submission of application with all required attachments.

Important:
Incomplete applications or those that do not meet the eligibility criteria will not be processed.
