Introduction
The scheme was introduced in October 2021. It is to support deserving Malay/Muslim students who are pursuing undergraduate and post-graduate studies in life sciences and biotechnology, enrolled in local autonomous universities.

Eligibility
- Singapore citizens holding a valid NRIC / PR of Singapore.
- Malay/Muslim.
- Pursuing a full-time Master’s degree course offered by any of the 6 local Universities:
- National University of Singapore (NUS)
- Nanyang Technological University of Singapore / National Institute of Education (NTU/NIE)
- Singapore Management University (SMU)
- Singapore Institute of Technology (SIT)
- Singapore University of Technology and Design (SUTD)
- Singapore University of Social Sciences (SUSS)
- Achieved good academic results in his/her course of study and have obtained admission to the bachelor’s degree programme.
- If the academic results between shortlisted applicants are comparable, then those with a lower PCI shall be given priority.
- Not in receipt of any other scholarships.
- Maintain annual average minimum GPA/CAP score of 3.5 out of 5.0 or equivalent throughout their scholarship term.
- To serve a 2-year bond with MiRXES upon graduation.
Condition
- Applications will only be considered upon receipt of all fully completed required documents.
- Incomplete applications will be closed.
- Applicant must be a confirmed student of the local institutions mentioned above.
- Shortlisting of candidates is based upon competition amongst the eligible applicants.
- Being eligible does not guarantee an award.
- Interviews may be held for shortlisted candidates and being eligible for the interview does not guarantee an award.

The Scholarship shall be used for the recipient’s educational expenses such as tuition fees, course materials, living expenses and fees for other educational activities organised by the institution the recipient is enrolled in.
Unless otherwise agreed by MIRXES, scholarships are to be given to scholars undertaking the following degree courses or similar:

The MENDAKI-MIRXES Scholarship will be awarded to two post-graduate students who are pursuing a Master’s degree in the local autonomous universities. Each post-graduate student will receive $15,000 per year for two years.
Mandatory documents required to submit application
- Front and Back Copy of NRIC of applicant and all family members residing in the same household.
- Academic results of applicant– The most recent result transcript clearly stating:
- Full Name,
- Name of Course & Level and
- Subject Score or CGPA.
- Proof of student confirmation into Institution clearly stating:
- Full Name,
- Name of Course and
- Start Date.

- All employed working adults in the household to submit latest Payslip or official Letter from Employer stating latest Pay.
- Self-employed household members to submit latest Inland Revenue Authority of Singapore (IRAS) Notice of Assessment (NOA).
- Unemployed adults in the household to submit latest CPF Contribution Statement.
- All relevant Certificate of Marriage, Death Certificate, Divorce Certificate, etc
- In 150 words, share your achievements & your goals in the next 5 & 10 yrs in MS Word Format.
- Other supporting Documents if any.
Application Procedure
- First time applicants must create an account to be able to proceed with the application.
- Applications should be submitted via MyMENDAKI portal by clicking the Tab below.
- We will be in touch with you within 6 to 8 weeks upon closure of the application window.
- Only shortlisted applicants will be notified.
- Yayasan MENDAKI’s decision on the outcome of all applications shall be final and not subject to further review or appeal.
