Senior Manager/Manager, Partnerships (Community Leaders Forum)

Job Summary
The jobholder (2-year contract) supports the Assistant Director and Head of Department in ensuring the efficiency and smooth operations of Partnerships Department by focusing on the management of the Community Leaders Forum (CLF) funds, its partners and engaging the stakeholders managed by the department.

He/She is responsible for establishing strong relationships and partnerships with strategic corporate and community partners and holds a key strategic position to achieve Yayasan MENDAKI’s mission.

He/She is responsible for managing the creation, implementation and evaluation of stakeholders’ engagement and recognition strategies to attract more corporate and community organisations to partner with MENDAKI.

He/She is also responsible for working in partnership with the Communications Department and programme managers to elevate the image of Yayasan MENDAKI as a professional and credible organisation to encourage individuals and corporate organisations to volunteer and partner with Yayasan MENDAKI and to support our programmes.

He/She will support the Head of Department in protocol and partnerships management for MENDAKI.

Key Responsibility Areas

Strategic and Stakeholders’ Management

a.    Develop, review, and implement strategies to attract stakeholders (individuals and corporate organisations) to partner with Yayasan MENDAKI to deliver programmes that would help support the Malay Muslim community.

b.    Organise events to engage stakeholders and promote the use of CLF funds for the conduct of programmes.

c.     Network with potential and/or existing partners for collaboration on the provision of community resources as well as the delivery of programmes.

d.    Guide partners on the evaluation of their programmes and on tapping various National funds to support their conduct of programmes.

e.    Support the Head of Department as one of the first point of contact with new and existing partners and connect them with relevant departments to further the relationship.

Grant Management

a.    Manages the team that administers the grant application process, evaluates and submits recommendations to committee.

b.    Plans and engages the partners and stakeholders, including the MMCDF committee members.

c.     Provides secretarial support to MMCDF committee.

d.    Track the utilization of the grant.

e.    Works with the other departments in implementing the grant management system.

Stakeholders Management

a.    One of the co-leads that engages stakeholders managed by Partnerships department, eg corporate partners, volunteers, donors, award/bursary/scholarships recipients.

b.    Network with potential and/or existing partners for collaboration on the provision of community resources as well as the delivery of programmes.

Team Leadership and Management

a.    Develop and implement the department workplans and achieve the targets set and setting and cascading departmental goals to individual staff goals and outcomes.

b.    Ensure proper and effective utilisation of department resources including budget.

c.     Manage direct reports and provide feedback to support their personal and professional development.

d.    Ensure staff under his/her charge clocked at least 60hrs of training yearly.

e.    Perform any other duties as directed and assigned by the Reporting Officer.

Financial Planning and Management

a.      Develop and implement the department workplans and achieve the targets set including budget requirements.

b.    Assist the Assistant Director and Head of Department in the department’s forecasting and budgeting activities and ensure proper and effective utilisation of department resources including budget.

Requirements

a.    5 – 7 years of relevant professional experience preferred.

b.    Minimum degree in Marketing, Business Administration or Media.

c.     Experience in leading a team is vital.

d.    Experienced working in or having vast experience collaborating with stakeholders (individuals, corporate or community organisations) would be an advantage.

e.    Involved in managing or contributing to the company’s Community Social Responsibility initiative would be an advantage.

f.      Strong interpersonal skills and ability to manage stakeholders across different levels.

g.    Able to communicate persuasively.

h.    Team leadership skills.

i.      Strong network in corporate sector is an advantage.

j.      Sound decision-making and problem-solving skills.

k.     Flexible, resourceful and ability to handle multiple consecutive projects effectively.

l.      Good knowledge of trends in the Social Service sector.
