Individual Sponsorships for Overseas Programme

The Individual Sponsorship aims to allow students to fulfill their educational aspirations through overseas exchange programmes, summer schools and overseas conferences. This is a collaborative effort towards enhancing the community’s academic opportunities and provides access to alternative pathways.

Kindly note that due to the already established endowment fund between Yayasan MENDAKI, National University of Singapore (NUS) and Nanyang Technological University (NTU) for student overseas exchange programme, all sponsorship applications from NUS and NTU students for the programme must be submitted to the NUS office and NTU Office respectively, who would then administer the sponsorships accordingly.

Eligibility Criteria

To apply for the Individual Sponsorships Overseas Programme (ISOP), applicants must meet the following requirements:

1. Malay/Muslim Singapore citizen or Singapore Permanent Resident.
2. Pursuing full-time Degree course in any of the following institutions:
   1. Singapore Management University (SMU)
   2. Singapore Institute of Technology (SIT)
   3. Singapore University of Technology and Design (SUTD)
   4. Singapore University of Social Sciences (SUSS)
3. Have a gross household Per Capita Income (PCI) of S$1500 and below.

Value of Award

1. For student exchange programmes, a quantum of up to $3,000 or 30% of total costs, whichever is lower.
2. For study trips/conferences/assemblies, a quantum of up to $2,000 or 30% of total costs, whichever is lower.

Mandatory Documents Required for Your Application

1. Letter of Acceptance or proof of document reflecting student’s overseas information from institution, bearing institution’s letterhead & applicant’s full details.
2. Estimated breakdown of the programme's cost and the relevant supporting documents.

NOTE : Only complete applications with all mandatory documents provided will be processed. Applications that do not fulfill the eligibility requirements will be rejected.

Application Procedure

1. All applications must be submitted online.
2. Processing will take up to 4 weeks from the date of complete a submission, including all required attachments.
