School Assistance Scheme (SAS)

The School Assistance Scheme (SAS) is an education subsidy provided for Malay/Muslim students from families needing support and attending MENDAKI-funded tuition programmes. It aims to complement existing schemes provided at the national level such as MOE's Financial Assistance Scheme, MSF Comcare and MUIS Zakat Assistance.


Eligibility Criteria

Your child must meet all of the following requirements

  • Malay/Muslim Singaporean or Permanent Resident
  • Registered in the MENDAKI Tuition Scheme (MTS) or Collaborative Tuition Programme (CTP)
  • Meet at least one of these income criteria:
    • Current year recipient of MOE FAS
    •  Current year recipient of MSF ComCare
    • Current year recipient of MUIS Zakat
    • Family's gross monthly Per Capita Income (PCI) ≤ $1,000 "


Required Documents

  1. Parent/Legal Guardian's NRIC (front and back)
  2. Any ONE of these current year’s approval letters:
    • MOE FAS
    • MSF ComCare
    • MUIS Zakat


Disbursement

The SAS provides two disbursements per year, with primary and secondary students receiving the same assistance amount directly into the bank account registered during application.

Disbursement Period and Amount:
- First Disbursement (from January onwards) - $50
- Second Disbursement (from July onwards) - $50

Note:
Students must maintain at least 80% attendance in their MTS/CTP programme to qualify for the second disbursement.
Parents/Guardians are encouraged to use this support to facilitate your child’s consistent participation in the tuition programme.nt.

Processing Timeline

  • MENDAKI will process and consider all applications
  • Applications typically take 2-4 weeks to process provided all necessary documents have been submitted
  • MENDAKI may request additional supporting documents if needed
  • Incomplete applications or those not meeting eligibility criteria will not be approved
