Introduction
The scholarship was introduced in 1995. It aims to reward top students who had performed exceptionally well at both GCE ‘A’ level examinations and Polytechnics.

Eligibility Criteria
-
Singapore Muslim Citizens or Permanent Resident of Singapore (regardless of race) who has been residing in Singapore for at least 5 years immediately before being admitted to the institution.

Pursuing first-year studies in a full-time University degree course offered by any of the 6 local Universities:

National University of Singapore (NUS)
-
Nanyang Technological University (NTU)
-
Singapore Management University (SMU)
-
Singapore Institute of Technology (SIT)
-
Singapore University of Technology and Design (SUTD)
-
Singapore University of Social Sciences (SUSS)
-
Preferred courses: Health & Life Sciences, Medicine, Multimedia Design, Engineering.

Obtained 3 distinctions (including General Paper) in the GCE ‘A’ level examination OR a Polytechnic Diploma with a Certificate of Merit.

Obtained a minimum aggregate of 37 points for the International Baccalaureate Diploma.
-
Male applicants must have completed their National Service.
-
Good records of active participation in co-curricular activities (CCA).

Not in receipt of other Scholarships.
Conditions
-
Each applicant needs to submit only ONE application to Yayasan MENDAKI to be eligible for all other schemes. Multiple applications from the same applicant will be closed.

Applications will only be considered upon receipt of all fully completed required documents. Incomplete applications will be closed.

Applicant must be a confirmed student of the local institutions mentioned above.

Shortlisting of candidates is based upon competition amongst the eligible applicants.

Being eligible does not guarantee an award.
-
Interviews will be held for shortlisted candidates and being eligible for the interview does not guarantee an award.

The Scholarship shall be used for the recipient’s educational expenses such as tuition fees, course materials, living expenses and fees for other educational activities organised by the institution the recipient is enrolled in.

Successful applicants need to maintain a minimum cGPA of 3.5/5 throughout their stay in the university.
Value of Award
-
Living allowance worth $4000 per annum for the duration of the course of study subject to satisfactory performance of the recipients.

The recipient must submit a copy of his/her FINAL examination results yearly to Yayasan MENDAKI before the fund can be disbursed to the recipient.

Latest payslip for all employed working adults in the household or official Letter from employer indicating the latest income.

Latest Inland Revenue Authority of Singapore (IRAS) Notice of Assessment (NOA) for all self-employed household members.

Latest CPF Contribution Statement for all Unemployed adults in the household.

All relevant Certificate of Marriage, Death Certificate, Divorce Certificate, etc

In 150 words, share your achievements & your goals in the next 5 & 10 yrs in MS Word Format.

Application Procedure

We will be in touch with you within 6 to 8 weeks upon closure of the application window.

Only shortlisted applicants will be notified.

Yayasan MENDAKI’s decision on the outcome of all applications shall be final and not subject to further review or appeal.
