The scholarship was introduced in 1995. It aims to reward students wishing to pursue courses at any of the local government polytechnics.

Application Period

25 Feb 2026 – 30 Apr 2026 (Academic Year : Apr 26 - Feb 27)

Eligibility Criteria

1. Muslim Singapore Citizen or Singapore Permanent Resident who has been residing in Singapore for at least 5 years immediately before being admitted to the institution.
2. Pursuing first-year studies in a full-time Polytechnic diploma course offered by any of the 5 local Polytechnics:
   1. Nanyang Polytechnic
   2. Ngee Ann Polytechnic
   3. Republic Polytechnic
   4. Singapore Polytechnic
   5. Temasek Polytechnic
3. Obtained outstanding results in:
   1. Singapore Cambridge GCE O-Level or GCE A-Level examinations, preferably with 3 distinctions or
   2. NITEC or Higher NITEC with cumulative GPA score of 3.5 and above.
4. Possess good records of active participation in co-curricular activities (CCA).

Terms and Conditions

1. Each applicant needs to submit ONE application only.
   
   1. We will consider your application for other eligible schemes accordingly.
   2. Duplicate applications will be closed
2. Applications will only be considered upon receipt of all fully completed required documents.
   
   1. Incomplete applications will be closed.
3. Applicant must be accepted by the local institutions mentioned above.
4. Shortlisting of candidates is based upon competition amongst the eligible applicants.
5. Being eligible does not guarantee an award.
6. Interviews will be held for shortlisted candidates and being eligible for the interview does not guarantee an award.
7. The Scholarship shall be used for the recipient’s educational expenses such as tuition fees, course materials, living expenses and fees for other educational activities organised by the institution the recipient is enrolled in.
8. Successful applicants need to maintain a minimum cGPA of 3/4 for their 2nd & 3rd year in the polytechnic.

Mandatory Documents Required for Your Application

1. Front and Back Copy of NRIC of applicant and all family members residing in the same household.
2. Academic results of applicant– The most recent result transcript clearly stating:
   
   1. Full Name,
   2. Name of Course & Level and
   3. Subject Score or CGPA.
3. Proof of student confirmation into Institution clearly stating:
   
   1. Full Name,
   2. Name of Course and
   3. Start Date.
4. All employed working adults in the household to submit latest Payslip or official Letter from Employer stating latest Pay.
5. Self-employed household members to submit latest Inland Revenue Authority of Singapore (IRAS) Statement of Account.
6. Unemployed adults in the household to submit latest CPF Contribution Statement.
7. All relevant Certificate of Marriage, Death Certificate, Divorce Certificate, etc
8. In 250 words, share your achievements & your goals in the next 5 & 10 yrs.
9. Other supporting Documents if any.
