Yayasan MENDAKI (“MENDAKI”) is committed to efficiently managing our volunteers to ensure a positive and impactful experience for both the volunteers and our organisation. Our volunteer management policies and processes are designed to streamline recruitment, engagement, and publicity efforts.

  1. Source Diversity: We source volunteers from various channels, primarily through the volunteer.sg portal for both adhoc and core programmes. In addition to volunteer.sg portal, we recruit volunteers during events and through corporate partnerships with other organisations.
  2. Core Programme Recruitment (KMM & #amPowered): Upon registration, our dedicated officers will contact potential volunteers within 3 working days. We invite them for a chat session to get to know them better and assess their suitability for our core programmes.
  3. Adhoc Programme Recruitment: For adhoc programmes, volunteers are free to join events they are interested in without the need for a chat session.
  4. Training: Volunteers who successfully pass the chat session are sent for specific training sessions relevant to their selected programmes.

  1. Personal Touch: We believe in maintaining a personal connection with our volunteers. We send monthly birthday wishes to celebrate their special days.
  2. Bonding Activities: Quarterly, we organise sustenance activities that allow volunteers to bond with one another and strengthen their connection with our organisation and programme.
  3. Feedback Sessions: We conduct regular feedback sessions with our volunteers to gather their insights and suggestions. These sessions help us improve our processes and ensure that volunteers’ voices are heard.

  1. Social Media Presence: We actively post our volunteering opportunities on our social media platforms, including Instagram and Facebook. This ensures that our opportunities reach a wider audience.
  2. Collaborative Partnerships: We collaborate with other organisations to help spread the word about our volunteering opportunities, reaching even more potential volunteers and stakeholders.
