As we navigate through a vacation-less holiday season, our children would be quick to ask “So, what’s the plan for the day?” Fret not, because in this article, we have listed 8 local attractions for you to get out and about with your family! 1. Changi Jurassic Mile

Fancy seeing some life size dinosaurs in Singapore? Head over to Changi Jurassic Mile! Introduce basic numeracy concepts to your children as you walk down the 1.5KM attraction. How many dinosaurs can you spot across the attraction? While you are around the area, Changi Airport has also lined up a few exciting attractions to usher in the festivities of Christmas. 2. Diggersite

Unleash the inner builder in your child by heading over to Diggersite Singapore! Diggersite provides the opportunity for toddlers above two years old, children and even accompanying young-at-heart adults to try operating smaller versions of real heavy-duty machinery used for construction work! Tip for parents: Introduce directional language to your child at this attraction as signages are all over the attraction.

3. Pulau Ubin

Everyone has been itching for a little island escapade. What better way to introduce your child to islands around Singapore by starting off with a signature? Pulan Ubin provides a plethora of adventure for you and your children as you trek around nature trails and bask in the old kampung spirit. Don’t forget to head to Jelutong Tower while you’re there to catch a bird’s eye view of the whole island! 😊 Being outdoors gives children more opportunities to be physically active, improves their motor skills, strengthens their immune system and reduces risk of myopia. 4. Mount Faber (Singapore Rediscovers #friendly)

Mount Faber – a quaint vantage point for taking pictures – offers scenic harbourfront views of Singapore. Trek through Marang Trail where your child can explore the vast nature where you can teach colour recognition and matching colours as a learning activity. While you’re at it, take the cable car down to Sentosa or Harbourfront! Some attractions such as the Singing Forest and The Forest Walk are home to a diverse set of flora and fauna, including wild monkeys! Come armed with a pair of binoculars and bask away the morning gazing skyward.

5. FUTURE WORLD @ Art Science Museum (Singapore Rediscovers #friendly)

Introduce your child to an arena of light play and shadow as they embark on a journey at Art Science Museum. The exhibition also has cool drawing activities for your child to explore. Get your child to be more creative and to test out basic mathematical concepts such as colour and shape recognition! An attraction full of sensorial play, you wouldn’t want to miss this! We heard that even adults are enjoying this little playground of colour!

6. Nature Playgarden @HortPark

HortPark is designed with young children in mind to encourage children to spend more time outdoors and reconnect with nature. Let children’s imagination run wild as they explore the nine different play features such as The Building Huts and The Magical Woods. Another attraction filled with sensorial play and critical thinking skills; your child will thank you for this one 😊

7. The Wonderland Playground @ Dawson Vista

 Hidden among the trees at Dawson Vista and HDB blocks is this Alice in Wonderland themed outdoor playground. The WonderLand Playground is not that difficult to find, being directly behind the multi-storey carpark and with signs to lead the way. A themed playground such as this opens up the wild imagination that kids already have! With a wilder imagination, kids tend to be more creative in learning and crafting!

8. Hay Dairies Goat Farm

Known as Singapore’s only goat farm that is open to public, your children will love this one as they are able to interact and feed the goats.  A visit to this farm will surely be a memorable one for your little ones. When children interact with animals, they cultivate the all-important senses of empathy and compassion.

Learn how milk is produced, pasteurised and then turned into delicious and nutritious ready-to-drink milk and fresh cheeses!
